Carlo Mastellone

Lawyer (avvocato), born in London (England) in 1955, a dual national (British and Italian), is resident in Florence and admitted to practice in Italy; enrolled in the College of Advocates of Florence (Albo degli Avvocati di Firenze) since 1983; also admitted to represent clients before the Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione).

Education: University of Florence, Degree in Laws (Hons.) 1978; Queen Mary College (University of London) LL.M. 1979; fellow researcher, European University Institute, San Domenico (Fiesole) 1981 – 1983.

Areas of practice: on-going business legal consultancy and advice, company and commercial law (including business compliance  and acting as member of supervisory boards pursuant to Legislative Decree 231) , contract law, international business and trade law, real estate and construction law, as well as dispute resolution services in these areas.

Editor, Handbook on Cross-Border Industrial Sub-Contracting, Kluwer Law International (The Hague, London, Boston) 2001, 656 pages (AIJA series), ISBN 90-411-9826-1; speaker at congresses, conferences and law courses in Italy and abroad on topics of international business and trade law, international contracts and foreign investments in Italy.

Member of the Executive Committee of the UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats, www.uianet.org) since the year 2000, at present holds the position of Director of Publications  (since 2015 ) former Director of Legal Education ( 2010 – 2015), former Director of Legal Projects – Seminars (2005 – 2010); former National Vice-President for Italy of the AIJA (Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats) from 1997 to 1999, and now Honorary Vice-President, AIJA. Accredited mediator, enrolled in the list of mediators of OCF – Organismo di Conciliazione di Firenze (www.conciliazionefirenze.org).
